Mrs. Karen Lynn (Greer) Goldsmith was born September 12, 1948 in Brownsville, Texas to parents James and Ruby (Tidwell) Greer and entered into rest on December 25, 2019 in Lihue, Hawaii at the age of 71.
Karen was an honor student in Jr. High and in the top 10% in High School, then attended Beeville Jr. College. She married Vaughan Goldsmith in May of 1967 in Los Fresnos, Texas and that's when their great adventure began. They vacationed in summer in northern Michigan, enjoying lighthouse tours all along Michigan's Coast, spent the last seven or so years spending the Holidays in Hawaii (one of Karen's favorite places to be). Although The Dallas Cowboys were Karen's pro football team, they loved traveling to different places watching the Texas Longhorn baseball games where they were able to enjoy seeing the sights, soaking up the atmosphere and eating in restaurants in a less crowded way than following professional or college football games. Karen had a passion for reading and books of all kinds but especially fictional novels and cookbooks. She enjoyed watching HG-TV to get ideas on remodeling.
Karen was a remarkable woman who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.
