Samuel was born on August 19, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to parents Vernon Odell Shelton and Alice (Dean) Shelton, and entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2021 at the age of 78. Upon completion of high school Samuel worked as a warehouseman for the shipping industry. His hobbies and interests were old cars, old airplanes, watching Westerns on television and traveling. He especially loved his grandchildren and followed the Baptist faith.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Alice Shelton, and by Lanita Eabs.
He is survived by his son, Lee Shelton and spouse Cindy of Tool, Texas; daughter Julianne Inman and spouse Dan of Austin, Texas; daughter Lanale Shelton of Gun Barrel City, Texas; son Ricky Parkier; son Christopher Eads and spouse Amanda of Athens, Texas; daughter Mindy Potts and spouse Greg of Eustace, Texas; brother Mike Keck and spouse Michelle of Forney, Texas; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and loved ones.
