

Brian Patrick Ferguson, of Newark, Delaware, December 5, 2025. Beloved son of Eamon P. and Carol Quiel Ferguson, brother of Richard (Katherine Gerstle) Ferguson, Claire (David) Waldron, and Erin (Frank) Langdon. Uncle to Maureen and Tomas Ferguson, Keller and Nathan Waldron, and Quinn and Eamon Langdon. Father to numerous cats and dogs. Brian was a graduate of the Special Progress program at Buffalo Public School 81 and City Honors School. He attended St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute. He graduated from the University at Buffalo with degrees in Accounting and Chemistry. Brian went on to work for public accounting firms, private corporations, and governmental agencies in Buffalo, Houston, Philadelphia, and Newark, Delaware. He held CPA licenses in New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Known for his sharp wit, Brian was brilliant, a free spirit, and known for his larger-than-life personality and love of reading and debate. Brian was a member of a number of local rock bands in his younger days and developed enduring close friendships, including those with Robert Bucella, Robert Drake, Edward Schubauer, and Christopher Walker. Brian was a member of the Central Park Players in his youth, but his standout role that classmates continue to recall was the lead in a local production of the musical "Tommy". Testimonials from those who knew him emphasized his kindness, ability to make people laugh, and ever-present smile. One woman wrote, “He was the sweetest boy I ever met.” Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 3070 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, New York, 14217. An Irish wake will immediately follow at a local establishment to be announced. All who knew Brian are invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph University Church, 3269 Main Street, Buffalo, New York, 14214. Please assemble at church.
