Teresa Marie Decot

Age 100, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026 at her home in Williamsville, NY, with family by her side. She was born in Buffalo, NY, to the late Joseph M. and Margaret C. Heimerl, and was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Ellsworth, Joanne McConnell, and Mary Fleming, as well as her faithful companion, John J. “Bud” Horan.

Teresa was a devoted mother to Linda Paolini (late Norman), Susan Decot Collins (Craig), and the late Robert M. Decot, and beloved grandmother of Jennifer Warrington (Kenneth), Stephanie Waters (Jonathan), Matthew Paolini (Angeleigh), Teresa Shannon (Ryan), Jamie Peacock (Jennifer), Julie Michel (Jason), Jeanna Ries (Karl), Robert C. Decot (Katherine), and the late Dylan Decot.

She was cherished by her great grandchildren: Olivia & Josh Warrington; Jonathan Jr & Zachary Waters; Matthew Jr., AvaMarie, & Brody Paolini; Owen, Charles, and Nicholas Shannon; Maddox & Bella Peacock; Tyler & Reagan Michel; Kamryn & Kallie Ries; and Owen Decot. Teresa was also very close to her special nieces and nephews and Patrick O’Connor.

Teresa worked as a teacher at Christ the King School, and later as a respected supervisor at the New York Telephone Company. She was a devoted Catholic, a member of St. Margaret Parish for many years, and attended daily Mass at St Gregory the Great in Williamsville in her later years. Teresa will be fondly remembered for her strong faith, youthful spirit, and her loving heart.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday January 23, 2026, from 4-8PM at Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 3070 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday January 24th at 9:30AM at St. Margaret Church, 1395 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at the church.
