Lauralea Ann Theresa Kiefer Lynch Albano was received into the hands of God on the morning of January 21, 2020, in the comfort of her home surrounded by Wilson, her cherished dog, and her beloved cat Baby—just 2 days before her birthday.
Those that loved Lea knew of her love for her family, friends, and fur babies. Lea will always be remembered by the people who knew her as ‘delightful,’ ‘a jewel,’ ‘a ray of sunshine,’ ‘the cool mom,’ and ‘favorite aunt.’ There was always laughter when she was around. She was a strong, vibrant, loving woman who found joy in the little things. Alena was honored to call Lea her friend and treated her with dignity and respect while she took care of her.
Artistic and creative, Lea was known for her love of ceramics, painting, and quilting. She loved purses and perfume, roosters and Red Lobster. She loved reminiscing and always had a favorite story to share. She was a devoted Catholic and lived her life as a servant of the Lord.
Lea had a sharp mind and thrived in her position as a stockbroker at Dominick & Dominick and later at Merrill Lynch. Her sharp wit kept clients on their toes and kept them coming back for more.
She is survived by her three children: Donald, Jr. (Lisa), Paige (Troy), and Mark (Yohara). She was Nana to her grandchildren Taylor, Paige, Ross, Dylan, Natalie, Nash, and Mak, as well as to her two great-grandchildren Jerica and Jadon. She is also survived by her mom, Katherine Kiefer, and her sisters Gail and Linda and brothers Dirk and Francis. Lea was preceded in death by her dad Frank Kiefer and her husbands Donald Lee Lynch and Benedict J. Albano.
A private memorial to celebrate her life will occur at a later time. The family would love for you to leave a message at www.dignitymemorial.com (Lauralea Lynch) to let us know how much she was loved. Given Lea’s love of animals, the family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, you support an animal group of your choice.
