Arthur Homer Logan

Following his high school career, Homer was drafted in the United States Army to serve our country. During his service time he was deployed in the second wave of the Invasion at Normandy of World War II. Homer was extremely proud of his service in the military and received metals for the Normandy Campaign. After his military service he was a brick mason for many years. During his spare time Homer enjoyed working on small engines and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He never failed to always have a kind spirit and caring heart to those anyone around him. Homer was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, Homer is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Alice Logan; two sons, Donald Logan and Larry Logan; one daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Logan; one brother, Clyde Logan; and one grandchild, Beth McIvor and a great grandchild Kyle Logan.

He is survived by four children, Pat (Kenneth) Porter, Debbie McIvor, Terri (Garry) Whitmore, and Scott (Bonnie) Logan; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Arthur Homer Logan will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Winters officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park of Kennesaw, GA.

A visitation with the family will take place from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been to serve as pallbearers, Michael Porter, Bryson Porter, Brian Logan, Garry Whitmore, Brian Whitmore, and John Carter.
