Beryl Halstead passed on March 22, 2026, at the age of 94. A resident of Douglasville, Georgia, she was born in Dewsbury, England to her parents Fred and Ellen Fox. Beryl was a member of the Church of England for many years with many passions. In life, she greatly enjoyed gardening, baking, and puzzles. She was especially passionate about Atlanta sports, supporting the Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and above all else the Georgia Bulldogs. Beryl will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caretaker to her three beloved shih-tzus.
Beryl is survived by her daughters Julie Halstead and Gillian Dempsey, her granddaughters Diana Yalif (Ozzy) and Kayla Parson (TJ), and her great-grandchildren Lathan and Liam Meares, Mina and Maximus Yalif, and SJ Parson. She is preceded in death by her husband Eric Halstead, her parents Fred and Ellen Fox, her brother Geoffrey Fox, her son Alan Halstead, and her granddaughter Erica Dempsey-Meares.
A visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, US, on March 28, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm. The committal service will occur afterwards at 1:00 pm.
