Calvin Houston Sutton, age 72, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2020. Calvin was born September 18, 1947 in Chattanooga TN to the to the late Glenn and Dorothy Sutton. He was a devoted husband to his wife Linda for 53 years. Calvin was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed watching football, working on his truck, and music. Calvin was a member of Vietnam Veterans of Bartow County, and had a sharp tongue and had a quick wit. He loved his family, and his dogs. Calvin leaves behind his wife Linda Sutton, daughter, Anita Casteel (Danny), Son, Calvin "Chip" Sutton Jr. (Sheena), two grandchildren, Daniel Casteel, Lauren Casteel, great grandchild Donald Casteel, three nieces and a nephew.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A visitation for Calvin will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2020 at 12:00 PM, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will occur Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia. Burial will be at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Calvin's memory may be made to Vietnam Veterans of Bartow County, 320 West Cherokee Ave., #107, Cartersville, Georgia US.
