Carol M. Lovering

Carol was lifelong resident of Cobb County. She spent thirty-five dedicated years as a Secretary for Dobbins Airforce Base in Marietta. Following her retirement from Dobbins, Carol began her career in Real Estate where she remained for several years. Carol was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church and was extremely involved, especially with her senior adult Sunday school class. Carol was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandy Challender, a sister, Majorie Hood, and one brother- in law, Harold Womack.

Carol is survived by two sisters, Delores Gohring, and husband Ken of Marietta, GA., and Brenda Womack, of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Nicholas Challender and Shannon Challender; one great grandchild Patrick Challender; a brother-in-law, Warren Hood; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Carol Lovering will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with Rev. Bob Noffsinger officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery.

A visitation with the family will take place from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
