Dante Ryan Scott

Mr. Dante Ryan Scott, age 28, of Kennesaw, GA., passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Dante was born on August 28, 1989 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, son of Damon Charles Scott and Tina Miller Cox.

Following his high school career, Dante joined the United States Army where he proudly served our nation for four years as an Army Airborne Ranger. Dante had a passion and a gift of writing, a rich love of music, a heart for anyone in need and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and loved watching college football. Dante was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Dante is survived by his mother and step-father, Tina and Joe Cox; father and step-mother, Damon and Gabriella Scott; one daughter, Karrington Paige Scott and her mother, Crystal; maternal grandmother, Reba Laughlin; maternal grandfather, Tommy Miller; paternal grandmother, Mary Louise Murrell; three siblings, Carley Cox, Joanie Cox and Damon Scott and several aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends. Dante is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward “Chief” Laughlin; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Murrell and one cousin, Brooke Coburn.

A memorial service to honor the life of Dante Scott will be held at seven o’clock in the evening on Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.

A visitation with the family will take place from five o’clock in the evening until the time of service on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
