He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diana Mincher; and three children, Joshua, Sarah and Rachel. He also had two grandchildren whom he adored, Ethan and Emma Mincher.
Douglas was the youngest child of Grace and Herb Mincher, along with Jeff, Mindy and Karen Mincher.
Douglas graduated from the University of Denver Law School in 1990, where he soon after launched a very successful career in court administration. Last year, Douglas was appointed the clerk of court for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, which he considered a crowning achievement in his long career.
Douglas loved his road bike, was quite the history buff and had an unusual penchant for vintage hats. His family will forever remember his quirky sense of humor and generous spirit, but most of all his love for Christ.
His service will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Riverstone Church in Kennesaw. Visitation is from 10 to 11:45 a.m., and a memorial service will be from noon to 1 p.m.
Please make any contributions to the Riverstone Church in care of the Mincher family.
