A husband, father, grandfather, and son, he worked as a carpenter for Jerry Gravitt Construction and also worked for the City of Acworth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Garrett; mother, Betty Frances Johnson; daughters, Lisa Hester and her husband Donnie and Connie Stone and her husband Michael; half-brother, Ricky Fortner; and grandchildren, Katie Jenkins, Cameron Stone, and Maisie Stone.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 8, 2016 from noon until service time at 2:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth.
