Mrs. Erika “Oma” Dozier, age 76, of Acworth, GA and formerly of Germany passed away Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 after a long, hard fight with heart failure. She was born on January 18, 1945 in Ilmenau, Germany to her late parents; Ferdinand and Katharina Stohr. Erika was retired from Publix, where she had worked in the deli and bakery department for many years. She was Catholic by faith. In Mrs. Dozier’s free time, she enjoyed cooking authentic German meals, southern food and just about anything you could think of, she was a great cook! She also loved being outside, gardening, fishing, traveling, spending time with her sweet pets, learning about any and all history, her daily naps and watching the news. Erika was a loving mother and Oma who will be missed dearly by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister.
Mrs. Erika Dozier is survived by her loving son, Tom Dozier and his wife, Karen Dozier of Marietta, GA, grandson, Colby Dozier of Sarasota, FL, and her granddaughter, Tabor Kiser and her husband, Kyle Kiser of Dallas, GA.
In keeping with Erika’s wishes, her body will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
