Erma Deane Reaves Ledford

In the early morning of April 2, 2014, Mrs. Erma Deane Reaves Ledford of Acworth, Georgia passed away peacefully of natural causes at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Kennesaw, GA. Ermawas 80 years old.

From humble beginnings in Searcy, Arkansas, Erma eventually retired as a Customer Service Manager for AT&T after 33 years of service. Erma enjoyed traveling to visit family, playing the bass guitar, watching “The Cimmerons” play music locally, and makingthe foods that her family loved. Erma got the most enjoyment from the company of her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Loyd Reaves, and brother, Omer Reaves.

Erma is survived by John M. Ledford (husband); her children Billyand Lynn Sherrod (son); Sean Marshall and Kim Ledford (son);Kevin and Janet Ledford (son); Karey and David Guerra (daughter);Krista Bradshaw (daughter); Kim and Jeff Spence (daughter). Erma was enormously proud of her children, as well as her 13grandchildren and her new great-granddaughter.

Erma is also survived by James and Rose Reaves (brother); Gene and Loretta Reaves (brother); Shirley Reaves (daughter-in-law);Glenda Reaves (sister); and Esther Melton (sister) and 12 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday April 6, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., (770) 422-7299.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., with Reverend Sammy Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery chapel mausoleum.
