Evelyn served four years in the United States Army as a medical technician. She was proud of her country. Evelyn and her late husband (Macon M. Weaver, Sr.) were members of the United Methodist Church (in Georgia: Marietta FUMC; Acworth UMC; Faith UMC, Cartersville; and most recently Hiram UMC). She was a preschool teacher for years at Acworth United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and bird watching.
Evelyn was a loving mother and served as a devout Scout Leader and active parent volunteer for the North Cobb High School marching band. She will be remembered as a kind, caring, sweet woman and as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Evelyn is survived by her son Macon (Danielle) Weaver, Jr. of Dallas, GA; her grandchildren, Austin Comstock, Spencer Comstock, Josiah Weaver, and Caleb Weaver; and her brother Edward Knisley of Oakdale, PA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Macon M. Weaver, Sr.; both parents; two brothers, Daniel and John Knisely; and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Anna Mae Nichols.
The funeral service for Evelyn will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM, in the chapel at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until service time.
Following the funeral service, Evelyn will be laid to rest in Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 31052.
