Faye moved from Port St. Lucie, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia in 2003 to live with her granddaughter and granddaughter-in-law.
A lover of nature, Faye spent countless hours outdoors creating and maintaining her gardens. You could always find her digging in the dirt. Her creations helped to bring beauty to her home for all the neighbors to enjoy.
In addition to gardening, Faye loved reading. If she wasn’t outside working in the yard, she would likely be in her apartment reading or listening to a book.
Even more than gardening and reading, Faye loved to eat!!! Actually, she lived to eat, especially desserts. Give her a good meal, and she was a happy lady.
Faye had a special connection with her given and chosen family. She was surrounded by love and provided much enjoyment and humor to those around her. Everyone that knew her has a Faye story that they can hold on to forever.
Along with her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her husband Boyd Estes, her three siblings, and her daughter, Elaine Mynatt. She is survived by her son Randy Simpson; Granddaughters Suzanne Baugh & Colleen Wogan; Grandson Rich Baugh; Great Grandson Parker Baugh; Nieces; Nephews and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, September 2nd at Arches Brewing located at 3361 Dogwood Dr., Hapeville, GA 30354. This will be a joint celebration of life with her longtime friend, Aline Merritt who preceded Faye in death by 3 and a half weeks.
