Frances Melton Bennett, 89, of Acworth, stepped into the gracious throne room of Christ on Friday, June 3, 2016. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Townview Baptist Church for a number of years. Frances had a passion for many things including gardening, crafting, traveling with her family, her precious dog, music of all kinds, but most of all she had a passion for her children and grandchildren. Whether it a dance recital, piano recital, or a baseball game Frances was there with a smile on her face enjoying every minute. Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bennett; her son, Steve Bennett; and two grandchildren, Micah Bennett and Matt Bennett. She leaves behind her son, Ken (Peggy) Bennett; daughter, Ellen Bennett; grandchildren, Tracie (Tim) Wagner, Becky (Jarrett) Gorlin, and Jason (Bethany) Bennett; great-grandchildren, Mallie, Madison, Jackson, and Miles Bennett, Kacie, Stephen, and Kaylie Wagner, Taylor and Logan Gorlin; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday 5:00pm - 8:00pm and again on Tuesday, 1:00pm - 1:45pm with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
