Gail’s life was filled with joy, laughter, and love. She worked for several years at Kroger, where she built lasting friendships and brightened the days of those around her.
A lifelong fan of music and sports, she especially loved cheering for her Atlanta Braves and San Antonio Spurs. Her passion for the game was matched only by her enthusiasm for singing along to her favorite songs, playing the accordion or her bass guitar.
Gail had a tender heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs. Her most recent companion, Captain, brought her endless joy, as did the many dogs she cared for throughout her life.
Family was always at the center of Gail’s world. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, wife, sister and daughter. Gail found special joy in time spent together. Gail was blessed to find pleasure in these simple moments. Gail also held a deep appreciation for her niece, Tina, whose love and support were a blessing to her in every way.
Gail is survived by her children, Michael (Julia) Helms Jr. and Melody (Adam) Franz; Grandchildren, Hezekiah, Lillian, Madalynn, and Haylie; sister, Joy Konno; niece Tina. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Walter & Bethel Konno
Though no services are scheduled at this time, Gail’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family.
