Garland and Doris are special friends to us.  He always had a smile, and I will never forget how he encouraged my granddaughter (Krystal) to sing and play her guitar at Church. He truly loved singing and praising the Lord.  And he loved sharing from his garden vegetables. He will be missed but I know he is in Heaven singing and giving praises to God.  We will see you again Rymer. R.I.P 

My earliest memories include the Rymer Family.   The first memories of singing in the choir at Awtrey Baptist Church was when Garland was the Choir Director.  Sunday night choir practice would find Lisa and I playing in the nursery.  So many cookouts and Christmas parties we shared when we were younger and life seemed less complicated. I can still see his big smile and hear his laugh.  He always seemed to laugh with his whole body.  He loved to sing but did it less over the years but he never missed a chance to stop me and get a hug. He found out Lisa and I chatted from time to time so he’d ask me if I’d talked to her. He always told me about Greg and his fishing or about “Lisa’s boy” or some other family member.  He truly enjoyed talking about those he loved.  Garland loved the Lord and we know  we know he’s singing again!  Another great man from my childhood gone, but never forgotten.  

Garland Rymer, What would the Clark family have ever done without you?  I remember you dropping whatever you were doing to come over to help repair washing machines, hot water heaters, anything you could help Mama and Daddy with.   They loved you so as did all us kids.  We loved all your kids too!  I remember having Anthony's first birthday party at your home.  I remember my childhood bedroom suit came from your home to ours...lots of wonderful memories with Gail, Pat, Greg and Lisa.  God has called many home it seems in the past few months and I know you will be sorely missed by all, but tell everyone in heaven to save room and rejoicing for us all! Garland was a dear friend to Max and me. . We will always have   our  memories at being at church with him and Doris.  His kind and  loving smile would  always welcome you.   He  will be greatly missed by all at Awtrey-Westwood Church. .  He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting  talk .   We love all the family  and grieve with you with Garland passing.
We can only imagine the glory he is enjoying now.

Garland was one of the many great men that were fine examples for me to emulate growing up in Awtrey Baptist Church. His demeanor and kind heart will always be with me. Another fine man gone on to his reward. He will be missed by many.....

Doris so sorry to hear about Garland.  I have always considered you all my Friends and we will miss him.  Our Prayers are with you and family at this time.

Garland was a neighbor of mine for several years. Avery good person. his family and friends have loss a legend.

There are not words to say how much Bro. Garland meant to Wendell and I. Our prayers are with you Sister Doris. Love you.
