Gilliand Ivy Maddox, age 71 of Acworth passed on October 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, October 14, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Gilliand was born in Greenville, SC. Mr. Maddox will be laid to rest in Pickens, SC. with a graveside service being held 3:30pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park. He was a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Paulding County Amateur Radio Club, and Sunbelt Emergency Net.
Gilliand was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jim" Maddox and Cleon Maddox. He is survived by his cousins, Kenny and Reba King, T. Allen and Teresa Maddox, Jessica King, Andrew King, Caleb King, Todd and Pam Maddox, and Audrey Maddox.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 4pm until 6pm at the funeral home.
