Mr. Knapp was married on December 16th, 1976. He met his future wife Ritta at Shoney's drive through restaurant in Marietta, when he spotted her driving a 1972 Monte Carlo. Together, they shared a life marked by enduring love and good-spirited conversation, an everyday warmth that spoke to the steadiness of their bond.
A man of hands-on skill and quiet dedication, Mr. Knapp found genuine satisfaction in working on cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed riding ATV, hunting deer, boating, and camping in the mountain-simple pleasures that reflected his appreciation for the outdoors and the freedom found in open air and open roads.
Those who knew Mr. Knapp will remember a man who could be tough yet deeply loving. He was known for giving great gifts and for being, in every meaningful sense, a good man—carrying himself with a calm demeanor that brought reassurance to the people around him.
He also cherished his cats, Yellow, Tommy, and the newest addition, Butterscotch, who brought comfort and companionship to his home.
Mr. Knapp is lovingly survived by his wife Ritta Knapp, his sister, Vicki Lawrence, and her children: Craig Parrish (son Peyton), Stacy Parrish (children Lilly Sanders and Alec Parrish), and Drew Parrish.
