

Janice M. Perkins, age 70, of Acworth, Georgia passed quietly on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Janice was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Mildred Jeanette Davis Cook and John Travis Cook, Jr. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband David for 45 years, loving mother to her 3 sons and grandmother to her 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Janice loved her family and cherished their time together, especially the memories they made together at the beach. She loved going to the ballpark to watch her grandchildren play ball. Songs and music were a very important part of her life. She was strong in her faith and a member of Liberty Square Church in Cartersville, Georgia where she was a Greeter and looked forward to every service until her health prevented. She was a lover of all animals but her cockatoo bird, Tiffany, of 36 years, held a special place in her heart.
Janice never missed an episode of General Hospital, Jimmy Swagger, Daystar, TBN or any political forum. She was passionate about politics and a devoted Republican. Janice would want to remind each of you to go vote.
Janice is survived by her sons Bryan (Angel) Perkins, Randall (Brooke) Perkins, Troy (Rebecca) Perkins; brother Larry (Margie) Sutton; sister Shirley St Clair; grandchildren Travis (Erin) Perkins, Taylor Stanton, Alexis (Cameron) Hughes, Addison (Tanner) Henke, Landon Perkins, Victoria (Casper) Hayden, Matthew Perkins, Carver Linville and Skylar Perkins, great grandchildren, Sterling Hughes, Flora Perkins, Beckett Hughes, Langsten Hughes, Cruz Henke, and Apollo Perkins.
Janice was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband David Perkins; her parents, Mildred Jeanette Davis Perkins and John Travis Cook, Jr.
Janice’s brother, Reverend Larry Sutton will officiate the service at 12pm on Saturday, February 10th 2024, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy N Kennesaw GA. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, Kennesaw, Georgia.
Visitation for Janice will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10AM until the 12PM service.
