Jimmie Dale Griggs

Jimmie Dale Griggs, born on December 25, 1938, in Pryor, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2025, at the age of 87. A resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, Jimmie was known for being compassionate, faithful, generous, and beloved by all who knew him. His life was a testament to his devoted and resilient nature.

Jimmie's early life in Pryor, OK laid the foundation for a life filled with love and dedication. He was a man of many interests and hobbies, who loved his family deeply. Jimmie had a passion for golf and woodworking, and he was an enthusiastic supporter of any sport or team that his grandchildren played for.

His commitment to his community was evident in his regular attendance at church, where he went three days a week. He was a true servant of the Lord and teacher of the Bible. Jimmie's faith was a central part of his life, and he found solace and inspiration in his favorite Bible verse, Psalms 126:6: "Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."

Jimmie was a devoted husband to his wife Linda for 67 years. He was a wonderful father to Ronnie, Paula, and daughter-in-law Robin. He was the most loving "Poppie" to his grandchildren Brooke, Chris, and Mallory and a great-grand Poppie to Logan, Makenzie, and Noah.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Bertha, sisters Patsy and Brenda, and his precious daughter Paula.

A public visitation will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, GA 30152, on January 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 12:00 pm. A committal service will take place at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, also at 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152, at 1:00 pm.

Jimmie Dale Griggs will be remembered for his unwavering love and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and faith.
