J.J. is survived by his wife, Brenda Cowan; his daughter Tessa Cowan; his father James Cowan; his step sister Kimberly Withka.
A visitation for J.J. will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 2:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30194 with military honors.
J.J. was a true patriot and had retired from the US Air Force with the rank of TSGT. He also was retired from Southwest Airlines where he worked for several years as an Aircraft Mechanic. J.J. enjoyed life and had many past times, such as, guitars, fishing, talking politics, and being a dog enthusiast. A man of faith, J.J. was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church. Family and friends alike will cherish his memory.
