John Edward Ebersold, age 83, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2020. John was born April 18, 1936 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. A celebration of life service will be held on March 15th at 3:00PM at First Baptist Church of Marietta 148 Church St. Marietta GA 30060.
A native of Massachusetts, John made Holyoke and Western Massachusetts his home before retiring from the Insurance industry and moving to Kennesaw Georgia. He was involved in scouting in Holyoke as well as being a member of First Baptist church. He also enjoyed ham radio, woodworking and vacationing on Cape Cod. Upon moving to Georgia in 2010 he became a member of the Marietta First Baptist Church and had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior and enjoyed singing with the choir. John and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September of 2019 amongst family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed all the time he spent with family, friends and pets. He will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
John is survived by sons John Roy Ebersold and Jim Ebersold along with their wives Valerie and Shannon; brother Robert Ebersold; grandchildren Kyle, Jonathan, Jimmy, and Tyler. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorelei in January.
