Linda worked as a crossing guard for several years before she retired to take care of her family. She was actively involved in the Order of the Eastern Star and served twice as the Past Worthy Matron.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Donald Wayne Lawson; parents, Clifford and Mary Bell (Murdock) Elrod; grandson, Greyson Hayes; siblings, Margie Hunt, Irene Bolin, and Sonny Elrod.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Hayes and Wayne (Lisa) Lawson; grandchildren, Olivia Kate (Grant) Lancaster, Evie Caroline (Jacob) Janzen, Morgan Hayes and Victoria Hayes; sister Cindy Adams; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Denise, Becky, Megan, and the rest of the Wellstar Medical Staff for the care and compassion they showed Linda throughout her illness.
A visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, GA 30152. Linda's funeral service will occur Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM with the burial to follow at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
