

Martha Jean Brown, 87, gained her wings under the care of WellStar Community Hospice in Kennesaw, Georgia June 19th, 2025. Born July 15th, 1937, to her parents, Willis and Maude Adams, Martha was destined to be a testament of strength and kindness.
Throughout her life, Martha was a proud employee for Eastern Airlines where she worked in reservations before her retirement. In her spare time, Martha was a dedicated volunteer with Stars and Stripes. During her volunteer work, she was able to provide moral and support to United States troops stationed overseas by providing care packages filled with heartfelt cards, baked goods, and other keepsakes.
Martha is preceded in death her beloved husband of 39 years, James E. Brown. Her daughter Patsy Gross. Brothers James and Jerry Adams.
She is survived by her daughter Lojuana Purvis. Brother Johnny Adams (Bonnie). Grandchildren Chris Rutherford (Kelly), Callie Martin (Robby), DeeDee Johnston, and Lindsey Baughman. Furthermore, she is survived by 7 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces and nephews. Most notably, Scarlet Sisk and Wendy Clark who have been nothing short of a blessing during this time of hardship amongst the family.
Though Martha is not with us physically, may her spirit continue to guide us and provide us with strength in the time ahead.
A visitation will be held for Martha on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. located at Winkenhofer Funeral Home and Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
A chapel service will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. John Huckaby.
