Melvin Douglas Gibson

Melvin Douglas Gibson, age 81, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Melvin was born May 12, 1940 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Melvin and Elizabeth Gibson. Melvin was a member of the Shriners and the Blue Lodge for 50 years. He was honorably discharged from the airforce.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 39 years, Candace Malinda Gibson; daughter Paula McIntyre; son Melvin Douglas Gibson Jr.; and son William Joseph McIntyre; brother Richard Gibson (Kirkie) and brother John Gibson; grandchild Jamie Allen McIntyre (Raven), grandchild Stephen Douglas Russell and grandchild Ashley Malinda Russell, and 8 great-grandchildren.
