Born in Canton, Georgia., Mrs. Cook was a substitute teacher in the Cherokee County School System. Her home church was New Hope Baptist and was later a member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the choir. She and her husband, Gene Cook, was owner of the Cook’s Antiques and Pool Supply in Canton for many years. She loved to travel at the beach, mountains, Casino’s and any were her family went.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm, Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Rev. Charles Pierce officiating. Interment at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm following the services.
Family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Monday, May 25, 2015 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
