Riley Lavert Walker, age 86, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born August 1, 1935, to Lillie Irene Simmons Walker and Forman Jewel Walker. Riley was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a Deacon in the Baptist church and very strong in his faith. He was a member of the Acworth Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. Riley enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. With a love for music, he sang in a gospel quartet for many years. Riley is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janie Latham Walker; his daughter Regina Isaacs (Steve); and his daughter Lisa Walker; his brother Donald Walker (Sheila); his granddaughter Ashley Argent (Tyler), his granddaughter Sarah-Jane Long, his granddaughter Susannah Long, his granddaughter Kylie Henry (Jeff) and his grandson Carter Isaacs, three great grandchildren, thirteen nieces and nephews and Kitty (fur baby). Riley was preceded in death by his parents, Forman and Lillie Walker, five brothers and one sister. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation for Riley will be held from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm (ET) Monday, May 23, 2022, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. His memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.
