Rodney Wayne McGuire

Rodney Wayne McGuire was born on March 27, 1947 to Lester and Genevieve McGuire in Beaumont, Texas and passed away on March 29, 2026 in Marietta, Georgia. Rodney was an avid collector of many things but most enjoyed his collection of guns and sports memorabilia. His family and friends will remember him as a steadfast believer in his Lord and Savior, a protector, a role model to many and a savvy businessman. Rodney became an entrepreneur at a young age. He built two successful businesses in his life but most notably the IHOP in Kennesaw serving his community for over 35 years.

Above all this, Rodney will be remembered for his love of family. Rodney found great joy in spending time with his wife, children, brother, sister, and grandchildren. He built an amazing life filled with love, friendship, and gratitude with his wife Jean of 58 years. Jean will fondly remember a life well lived with Rodney while carrying his legacy forward.

Rodney is survived by his wife Jean, his sons Stephen (Patricia), David (Audra), and daughter Genny Beth (Chris), his brother Tommy (Sharan), his sister Debra, his grandchildren Logan, Rachel, and Tyler, his Goddaughter Melissa Lowe, his Godson Matt Mcguire, three step siblings, and his beloved poodle LoLo. He is predeceased by his parents Lester and Genevieve McGuire.

A visitation will be held on April 13, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and will be followed by a funeral service from 3:30 until 4:30. All services will take place at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
