He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Viet Nam. He was also retired from the City of Atlanta Fire Dept. with 23 years of service. He served at stations 2 and 6.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by a son, Chris Turner.
Survived by his wife, Pennie S. Turner; children, Gary Turner, Scott Tillman, Kevin Turner, Michelle Hunt, Spencer Tillman; brother, Keith Turner; 17 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday October 10 at 1:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery with the United States Air Force providing Military Honors.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 11 AM until 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
