Steve was involved with sports his whole life and they were one of his passions. At a young age, he was a competitive swimmer and participated in baseball and football. In high school, he was part of the wrestling team. He also was a trumpet player during his high school years. His love for sports continued as he coached his sons throughout their baseball careers and enjoyed observing their high school wrestling success.
Steve was a graduate of East Carolina University where he was President of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. After East Carolina graduation, he launched a successful 38 year career in the pharmaceutical industry. He developed into an outstanding sales professional then took over increasing responsibilities resulting in his last role as Senior National Account Manager.
He was a hardworking man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was kind and was always making people laugh. Steve was a loving son, father, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother Sarah Curry, sons Patrick Curry, Grant Curry, and Paige Chaney; Daughter,Brittany McMillian; Granddaughter, Emma Valle.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, George Curry, bother Dale Curry and sisters, Georgia and Paula Curry.
A service to honor the life of Mr. Steve Curry will be held on Tuesday March 30, 2021, 12:00 pm at Due West Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday March 30, 2021 11:00am until 12:00 pm at Due West Methodist Church. Mr. Curry will be taken back to North Carolina to his final resting place.
