Thomas "Tom" Wade Boggess Jr., age 88, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Tom was born in Woodville, Alabama on June 17, 1932 to his late parents, Thomas Wade and Kathleen Lawrence Boggess. Mr. Boggess was a family man and enjoyed spending as much time with his family as possible. He enjoyed playing all games, but especially poker, bingo and checkers. Mr. Boggess was an honorably discharged U.S. Air Force Veteran. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force over twenty years serving in both Korean and Vietnam. Mr. Tom enjoyed serving as a Shriner in many capacities as well.
Tom is survived by son Sean Wade Boggess (Sharron) of Acworth, GA; daughter Tamra Loveless (Bill) of Calhoun, GA; and daughter Deirdre Watkins of Marietta, GA; brother Joseph Boggess (Amy) of Marietta, GA and brother Oscar Boggess (Judy) of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Mellisa McIntosh, Michelle Nalley, Wayne Nalley (Jessica), Eric Watkins, Robert Watkins, Brittany McCullough (Justin), Olivia Boggess, Derek Buckner, Deanne Mcdonald, Alexis Nalley, Debbie Justice (Michael), Kim Glover (Lott), Shelley Pitts and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bridget McGoldrick Boggess.
A visitation for Tom will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Chapel. Burial will occur Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Pine Ridge Memorial Park after the Funeral Service.
