Mrs. Virginia Lee McDowell Blankenship, age 74, of Acworth, passed away July 7, 2013. She was employed at Kennesaw State University with over 20 years of service.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Lynn Armstrong, Patricia Lee Denny, Polly Armstrong-Parris; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 siblings also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 11 at 11 AM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with interment to follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home
