He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Durden; parents, Ernest D and Cecil Brand Durden; sisters, Effie Mae “Poncie” Payne and Edna Beatrice “Pete” Durden.
Survived by his son, Timothy A. Durden and his wife, Nancy; brother, Norman Durden and his wife, Mevelyn; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Jan. 28 at 2 PM at Carmel Baptist Church, 2001 Bascomb Carmel Road, Woodstock, GA 30132, with Rev. Richie Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 2PM until 8PM Sunday and then again between 9AM until 8PM Monday at the funeral home.
