

Wayne Bruce Cunningham, 82 years of age, from Kennesaw, GA died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Mr. Cunningham’s distinguished career includes serving his country as an Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, an Engineer with Lockheed Martin Corporation and many years as a flight engineer with both Saudia and Japan Airlines, and most recently as a driving instructor with Kennesaw Driving School. He was born the 4th child of 6 in Collinsville, AL, to T.C. and Susie Mae Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Jordan Cunningham; son, David Wayne Cunningham and his wife Jennifer Richardson Cunningham of Kennesaw, GA; daughter, Karyn Cunningham Donahue and husband, Paul Donald Donahue of Marietta, GA; granddaughters, Kara Cunningham, Leah Cunningham Cox and husband, Justin Cox of Kennesaw, GA; grandson, Kyle Jordan Donahue, of Boulder, CO; brothers, Herbert Cunningham of Anniston, AL, Vernon Cunningham of Owensboro, KY; and sister, Joanne Cunningham Gunnin of Collinsville, AL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Capt. Carey Cunningham, who served his country in the Vietnam War and sister, Joy Cunningham Albea of Anniston, AL. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 28, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with a service to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 29, at 2:00pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home at 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152.
