Yvonne "Rita" Grant

Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She had a deep love for cooking, baking, traveling, and crafting—but above all, her heart belonged to those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rita is survived by her children, Patricia Lovell, Paulette Lovell, Pamela Tam and her husband Christiaan, Harriett Moe, Brian King and his wife Sharon, and Lenox Haley and his wife Vonetta; her brothers, Winston Saul and his wife Pamela, and Richard Gonsalves; and her sisters, Shirley Grant and Mona Grant. She also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph Gonsalves and Winifred Grant; and her siblings Kenrick Saul, Lenox Saul, Lynnette Grant, Brenda Wickom, Thelma Gonsalves, Norma Gonsalves, Leon Gonsalves, and Harold Persaud.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rita will be laid to rest at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 31052.
