She is predeceased by Mary Cropley, Thomas Cropley, stepmother Evelyn Cropley, sister Sandy Terowskie, husband of 57 years Roy Hudec, son Micheal Hudec Sr., and daughter Roseanna Iwanoczko (Hudec).
Mom was born in Paisley, Scotland but at the age of eight came to Canada with her mother. Mom lived in Ignace for a while then moved to Kenora where she met our father (Roy Hudec) who soon became the love of her life and was married on October 1953. They lived on the farm where they raised four children. Mom enjoyed raising animals, gardening and most of all cooking. Mom had the biggest heart that you could imagine when it came to her children and grandchildren. We will always remember the bedtime stories, breakfasts in bed, picnics and tea parties. And for the grandchildren the special trips to Tinkertown every year and many other joyous things.
We will miss all the special holidays we spent together where Mom would prepare a big dinner and of course Mom made sure we had perogies and cabbage rolls (which soon became well known as Hoodies Perogies).
In her later years Mom and Dad moved to town. Not being able to sit still, she applied at Walmart and became known as the Sweet Little Lady Greeter.
We will miss you Mom, not only as our beautiful, sweet mother/grandmother (known as Baba to all the great grandchildren), but as a best friend as well.
At Mom’s request, there will be no service at this time. A Service for close friends and family will be held at a later date.
