It is with great sadness the Keewatin, Necanapenace & Fobister family announce the peaceful passing of Beatrice Keewatin on October 3, 2018 with family and friends by her side. Beatrice leaves behind to mourn are her children Keon Keewatin (Jamie), Savannah, Evander, Alanda Fobister. Beloved by the father of her kids David Keon Fobister. Dear sister of Sandra Necanapenace. Dear daughter of the late Willie and Julia Keewatin. Loving remembered by all of her cousins and close friends, Linda, Edna, Louie Hook, Myra, Marcella, Assinn, Ruth Pahpasay, Debbie Assin, Eddie Keewatin. Missed by her niece and nephews, Anita Necanapenace, Merrill, Chris Land, Rachel, Vivian Keewatin, Roxanne, Tina, Edward, Shawn, James, Brittany, Randy and Judy. Proud grandmother of Julia and Havana Fobister, Carter, Kaylynn, Skyler Fobister, Migigi Peetawayway, Erin Sandy, Dawson and Julian Land, Karman, Dawn, Monique and Issac Jr. Kewatin. Predeceased by her son Hank Keewatin, her siblings, Norman Keewatin, David John Necanapenace and Murphy Necanapenace, common-in-law partner Dean Robert Jack, Nephews, Hector Land Jr. and Murphy Necanapenace and her nieces Rebecca and Jonathan Keewatin. Beatrice is a survivor of St. Mary's residential school. She enjoyed attending Bingo, fishing, going on walks everyday and loved to visit many friends and family. Beatrice battled her illness for many years and fought hard to live and watch her grandkids who she cherished. Beatrice was known to many people as caring, honest, a very strong women and someone who spoke and stood up for her people. She always stood up for what was right and for herself. She was a tough lady and gave all power and energy to stay with us all. A wake service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Trapper Building at 1pm.
