Cathy Lee Ogemah Clarke

After a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 03, 1922, Cathy Lee Ogemah Clarke, in her 43rd year, passed into the arms of the Lord. Precious mother of Eddie, Edward Terrance Kersch and Alex, Alexander Clarke Doudiet of Kenora.

Beloved daughter of Terry and Raylene Clarke of Minden, Ont.; predeceased by birth mother Doris Ogemah. Granddaughter of Gloria & the late Ray Moore of Minden, Theresia & the late Al Clarke of Gravenhurst. Survived by saddened sisters and brothers, Doreen and Vera of Kenora, John (Celeste) of Ottawa, Julie Ann of London, Jerome (Heather) of Oshawa, Charles of Orillia. Predeceased by brother Clifton and good friend Jean Martin. Loving niece of Glenn & Deb Moore, Colleen & Blake O"Byrne, Keith Moors, Daryl & Kelly Moore, Brian Moore, Rawn and Lawrence Lougheed, Scott & Michelle Moore, Auntie Kathy Shillinglaw, Auntie Angela Clarke, all from Southern Ontario; and Auntie Grace Kakeeway of Kenora. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Ryan, Jessica and Davidson, many cousins and friends in Southern Ontario, Alberta and Kenora, her good friend Cindy Zabloski of Kenora and her fellow paddlers of the Dragon Tamers.

Cathy loved life and lived life to the fullest, paddling with the Dragon Tamers was where she shined, spreading her smiles to everyone she met. She joined 1500 other survivors in Peterborough taking part in the 2010 International Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Festival in June. She held many jobs but found her calling in being a dispatcher for CO-OT Taxi, where she could tell people what to do and where to go.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 08, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jubilee Church of God, 215 1st Street South (old K of C Hall). Donations can be made to the trust fund for Eddie and Alex at Copperfin Credit Union, Park Street location, or to the Kenora Dragon Tamers in memory of Cathy.
