

July 3, 1967 – November 16, 2025
It is with profound sadness and much love that the family of Charles Laurent Godin from Kenora, Ontario announce the sudden passing on November 16, 2025 at age 58 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Charles is preceded in death by his sister Sylvie, father Fernand, aunt Francine, uncle Richard, and cousin Lucas.
Left to cherish his memory and is lovingly remembered his best friend Pauline Henry, D’Angelo Henry who he raised and loved like his own son, the children and grandkids that he loved and adored like his own, his mother Monique Albert, and many more family and friends, Bruce Henry (grandchildren Reese, Animiki, Belle), Barnie Henry (Jordan, James, Jesse, Jace), Curt Henry (Olivie), Kingston, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who became best friends from Wabaseemoong First Nation and many more too numerous to mention.
Charles was born to Monique Albert and Fernand Godin on July 3, 1967. As his mother puts it, Charles was a man ahead of his time, always researching the newest computer technologies as they emerged. Charles loved being a dedicated Montreal ‘Habs’ Canadiens fan. A headstrong man who cared for his family, Charles was very knowledgeable, with an answer to every question and solution to every problem.
The family would like to thank ICU in Kenora and Thunder Bay ICU, the Doctor’s and Nurse’s who did their best in Charles Care, Chi-Meegwetch to Chief and Council for the compassion and support you gave to the Henry Family in this time of need.
A Traditional service will take place on Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 10:00am – 5:00pm, followed with a Catholic Service on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 2:00pm, both at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Kenora, Ontario with cremation to follow.
