Daniel Warren Marcino

July 4, 1956 – March 7, 2024

Daniel Marcino, a resident of Keewatin, Ontario passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital with family at his side.

He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Shirley Marcino, his grandparents Violet and Jack Gamble and Nellie and Len Moore.

He is survived by his wife Cecile, Don, Shayla, Isen, and Rohan Carswell and Patrick Marcino, Diane (Frank), Grant and Kevin, Nicole Wilson all from British Columbia, Barb Lovie of Thunder Bay, Paul (Heather) and Lily, Joe, Angelique, Hannah of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cody (Agatha) from France, Nancy and Mario of Kenora, Ontario.

Dan attended Beaver Brae High School, he worked at Canadian Tire and the Royal Canadian Legion, he worked at McMunn and Yates for 32 years and considered all he worked with as his second family.

Dan had never met a cat that didn’t like him, he would never hesitate to help any person in need, he loved to read, his passion for reading turned into a large collection of books. Whenever he built something, friends and relatives would always say it could stand up to 100 Elephants.

A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Interment will be held at Minnitaki Cemetery on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 12:00pm with Don Goodridge presiding, with a light luncheon to follow.
