Diane Elizabeth Otto

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Diane Elizabeth Otto announce her tragic passing on March 22, 2012 at the age of 43.

She is survived by her two children Cheryl Hahr (Steve) and Jesse Dickson, her father Claus and wife Lynn, step sister Angela Zimmer (Nee Macko) (Chris), grandson Dylan, and many nieces and nephews.

Diane was born in Dryden, Ontario and spent her childhood north of Ignace at Harris Bay Resort. She moved to Kenora in her early 20’s where she settled to raise her two children. She worked for McDiarmid Lumber for approximately 20 years where she met and helped a multitude of people.

Diane was an animal lover and her home was always filled with dogs, cats, horses and all the neighbourhood children. She was an avid outdoorswoman enjoying fishing and hunting.

A Memorial Service for Diane will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.

In honour of Diane, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
