It is with great sadness we announce the passing, at his wishes on November 7th, 2025 at LOTW Hospital. He was not alone, rather surrounded by his loving brother, family and friends. As well as those who spent the last years of his life caring for him.
Donovan was predeceased by his grandparents Ezues & Rachel Moskotaywenene, his brothers Leighton Moskotaywenene, Kyle Moskotaywenene and his sister Violet Moskotaywenene.
The family of Donovan Bittern would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to all the KACL staff, Kenora OPP, The Fellowship and Jubilee Church for the care you've given him over the years.
Donovan spent most of his young life doing every sport you can think of out in LacLu. In the summer you would see him spending most of time down by the docks whether it was swimming tubing or waterskiing he always had a love for the outdoors especially when it came to biking. In the winter he always loved to go to the ski hill where he spent many hours building jumps or teaching kids how to hit them. Later on, in life when times got hard, he found himself on the streets where he had a whole another family taking care of him and each other making sure he didn't get left out in the cold. Even when he lost a few friends and family members he still had the biggest smile. He touched many hearts and will be missed by everyone you met.
Donovan is survived by his mom Corra Moskotaywenene and his brothers Adrian Bittern (Raven) and Elton Beardy (Jaclyn) and niece Chevelle Bittern.
The wake will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 from 3:00-5:00pm. with a funeral the following day Friday, November 14th, 2025 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Lunch will follow at Art Hub 103 325 2nd Street South, Kenora, Ontario after the funeral (next to Boardanyone).
