Doreen was very supportive of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as were they, in caring for her as we honoured her wishes to remain in the comfort of her home. Her love and support will be dearly missed.
Doreen married the love of her life on October 21, 1961. In 1963 they welcomed their first born and from there began to build their family. Doreen and Vincent cherished their time together, fishing, hunting, & camping. They were both very hard workers, especially when together. Doreen was a very strong, loving and loyal person. Having lost her husband at 40years old and continuing to raise and support all 4 of their children and the rest of their families, she remained loyal to Vincent until the day she joined him. She stayed strong for her kids and loved them with everything she had. Doreen was always worried about others before worrying about herself. Doreen had many hobbies including her love of bingo, if she wasn't at the bingo hall playing, she was at home playing tv or radio bingo. Doreen was also very artistic having made many art pieces including bird houses, crafts & ceramics.
The family of Doreen would like to express our deepest thanks to Mike Limerick, Virgina and the staff from Para Med for the compassion and care they provided for Doreen and family while we cared for her at home. We would also like to thank the caring doctors and nurses that cared for Doreen during her diagnosis and brief stay at the hospital. We would like to offer our deepest thanks to all the family, friends and co-workers that offered assistance and support.
All of these people made it possible to honour our mothers wishes. Thank you
