It is with great sadness that we announce Dwayne James Morgan, loving grandpa, father, son and spouse has passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2026. Surrounded by love after a hell of a fight with cancer.
Dwayne was born in Kenora, Ontario on November 1st, 1965, to his loving parents Ethel Engstrom (Morgan-Reynard) and Ronald Morgan.
Dwayne spent his whole life grinding away in the construction field, the hardest working man we know. Everytime you turn on the tap or flush the toilet you can be sure he has probably made that happen.
He is survived by his children Briana (Jeff), Raelynn (Dan), Hunter - the hockey superstar and his stepdaughter Alisha (Tye). His grandchildren Sydney and Jaxon, his loving mother Ethel and loving partner Tracey.
Dwayne has been reunited with daughter Hope, his grandparents, the Morgan’s and Engstroms, aunts, uncles and cousins, his father Ron Morgan and brothers Wayne and Ron Jr. in heaven.
A special shout out to Mike Limerick, Susan, Merlice, as well as the rest of the incredible team at the Kenora Chemo department and the Cancer Care Center in Thunder Bay. We would not be able to do it without this team, and we want you all to know we appreciate you deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held in August, a date is still to be set. Please join us, have a drink, and cheers to Dwayne. Donations will be accepted for Hunter’s hockey fund, we all know how proud he is of Hunter and his love of the game.
