It is with great profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved Amoo.
Eleanor was of many things in her life she was a mother, partner, sister, auntie, cousin and friend.
Eleanor was born in LOTWH in Kenora and spent her life in the community she was raised in Wabaseemoong, Ontario. There she met the love of her life Jonah TIkanye and had two beautiful children whom she adored deeply. She spent over 14 years with Jonah.
Eleanor enjoyed many things in life, she enjoyed spending her time going for rides, she loved being a mother and enjoyed watching her children grow. She loved spending her time with her partner doing things like fishing, listening to music, going for rides or visiting extended family and friends. She also had a few special bonds within her life who she spent her time with, Eleanor cherished her niece Starla they had a special bond they often did girls day and or found things to do just to spend time together. Because they both liked being with each other.
Eleanor always made sure to check on extended family to make sure everyone was alright.
Eleanor will be reunited with loved ones gone before her father Kerry Carpenter, brother Ferris Muckle, father in-Law Francis TIkanye, aunties Grace M, Joyce F, Rose M, Maryella M, Lenora C, Georgina C, Florence, C, TIffany S, Harriet S, uncles: Jerry M, Kennth M, Ronald M, Carl M, Willy M, Stuart C., grandparents Mitchell, Lydia, George S, and Doris C., brother in-law James R Scott, cousin/brother - Carl JR Jamieson.
She is survived by her children Nadine & Neylin, and the love of her life Jonah T., her mother Ilene, sisters Norma (Fred) & Karen (Dale), brother Nicky, nephews Joshua, Silas, Gage, & Andrew M., nieces: Sadie (Thomas), Star (Chris), Miley (Swayde),grandchildren: Parker, Romeo, Eliza, Kessel, mother in-law Teresa T, sister in-laws Anneke & Vestal, brother in-laws Caleb & Robert, grandma Rose McD., aunties Delores (Joey), Heather, Georgina (Marvin), Arlene (Evans), uncles John James Carpenter, Gary M Scott and Charles McD.
She will also be missed by her cousins Teresa, Beverly, Veronica, Tamela, Danny, Kevin, Tommy, Christopher, Tyler, Trudy, Stacy, Renee, Cody, Corey, Casey, Brandon, Joey, Quincy, Phillip, Sonya, Shanyssa, Anneka, Sylvester, Regina, George, Courtney, Monica, Dustin, Stiles, Lesnar, Christine, Irene, Ronald, Richard, Leanne, Denise Moose & Clint. Her best friends Andrea Fisher, Deanna Carpenter, Lakeisha Cameron, Rheanna Scott.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and doctors at LOTW District Hospital, and Paramedics special thank you to Deanna Carpenter for caring and taking care of our Amoo in her time of need who would advocate on her behalf and kept immediate family updated. They always watched out for each other when they needed each other while growing up all the way until they became adults. We also want to thank Denise for all of her help and for frequently visiting Eleanor. As well as so many friends, cousins and extended family which are too numerous to mention.
A Wake Service will be held at the WCWA Building in Whitedog, Ontario, on August 11, 2026, at 4:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the WCWA Building in Whitedog, Ontario, on August 13, 2026, at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Whitedog.
