He is predeceased by his father, Patrick, and is lovingly remembered by his son, Dresdyn; his brothers, Charles (Danielle) and Preston (Anne); and his mother, Julia.
Gabriel’s adventurous spirit took him to places as far as Egypt and Croatia, creating memories that he cherished throughout his life. He loved the outdoors—kayaking, camping across Ontario, and immersing himself in nature. His passion for motorcycles was evident in the hours he spent tinkering with engines and embracing the freedom of the open road.
Gabriel was known for his distinctive fashion sense, confidently making bold statements wherever he went. He delighted in exploring diverse cuisines, often cooking and sharing meals with friends. A devoted reader, he could often be found lost in the pages of a fantasy novel. Some of his happiest times were spent surrounded by family and friends, sharing laughter and stories. Gabriel appreciated every aspect of nature, from bugs and critters to snakes, and held a special place in his heart for his beloved animals.
Gabriel’s charisma, warmth, and charm left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A true friend to many, he was cherished by all who knew him. Deeply proud of his roots in Wabaseemoong. He demonstrated his love for community through his volunteer work as an emergency first responder. Gabriel embraced his Anishinaabe heritage and was guided by the Mide teachings throughout his life. His greatest joy was being a father to Dresdyn, watching with pride as his son grew into a remarkable young man.
Gabriel’s spirit, kindness, and love for life will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held at Brown’s Funeral Home in Kenora, ON, on March 14, 2026, from 3 pm-5 pm. A traditional service officiated by James “Jazz” Comegan for the family to follow at 6 pm.
