

Today we mourn the loss of Henry Lawrence Derouard Junior, a loving husband, son, brother, father, papa, great grandfather, best friend and role model to many.Henry was born to Ella and Henry Derouard on September 20, 1957. he enjoyed a very close knit family life on the Tetroe Road which grew to include marrying the love of his life, Rose, and acquired a family that took on and loved as his own.Henry enjoyed a very long and respected career in the correctional services field at the Kenora Jail where he found another family.Henry was the ultimate entertainer whether it was playing his guitar, talking about his travels or his adventures on the golf course, young or old he capture the attention of all.Henry will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, unique sense of humor, his way of dealing with life's challenges and how he held each and every relationship dear to him-we all had a certain and special place in Henry's heart.Henry was predeceased by Stan and Mary Peterson (mother and father-in-law), Fernand and Margaret Derouard (grandparents), Michael and Ella Summers (grandparents), Allan Peterson (brother-in-law), Raymond Derouard (uncle), Jerry/Gerald Summers (uncle), Donald Hager (uncle), Raymond Favreau (uncle), Louise Novak (godmother and aunty).He is survived by his beloved wife and life partner Rose, parents Henry and Ella, brothers and sisters Barb (Arlindo), Michael (Valerie), Jerry (Ellie), Larry (Anchila) McDonald who was always like a brother in Henry's heart, brother and sister-in-law Lloyd Peterson and Carole Peterson, stepchildren Lorne (Jen), Shannon (Warren), Dove, Tyler (Elizabeth), nieces and nephews, goddaughter Crystal (Luc), Arlindo (Nicole), Jerry (Christine), Mike (Lisa), Tanice (Alan), Chris (Jenn), Mugs/Megan, Jeremy (Jenna), grandchildren Kristen (Dan), Michael/George, Joel and Cade, great grandchild Samantha/The Child.
